Pamfilova promised to conduce to international election observation

According to Ella Pamfilova, CEC will facilitate the prerequisite set up for international election observation in the upcoming Parliamentary Elections in Russia.

MOSCOW, April 13 – RIA Novosti. On Wednesday, at the CEC meeting the chairwoman of Russia’s CEC Ella Pamfilova stated that the CEC will contribute to the facilitation of prerequisite set up for the full-fledged international election observation of the Election to the State Duma.

‘With regard to international cooperation, in order to ensure that the fairness and transparency is respected in the forthcoming Election to the State Duma, we will certainly facilitate the set up for full-fledged international election observation in accordance with the Russian law and Russia's international obligations’, – Pamfilova said.

According to her, the CEC will oversee that the rights and responsibilities of international election observers stipulated by law are respected.

The Election to the State Duma of the VII convocation will be held this year, on September 18.
