On January 18, the co-chairman of ‘Golos’ movement board Grigory Melkonyants met with the director of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) Michael Georg Link.
On January 20, the co-chairmen of ‘Golos’ movement board Yuri Gurman, Arkady Lyubarev and Gregory Melkonyants met with Ilkka Kanerva, the chairman of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Jan Peterson, the head of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission which was deployed for the last parliamentary elections, as well as the members of the Bureau.
At the meeting, Jan Peterson presented the final report of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission deployed for the Election to the State Duma of the seventh convocation. ‘Golos’ representatives have shared their comments on the report. Moreover, they have presented an overview of violations under investigation and have shed a light on citizen observers’ cooperation with election commissions.
The OSCE representatives congratulated the movement ‘Golos’ on winning the International 2017 Democracy Defender Award. In addition, they have expressed high appreciation for mutual cooperation and expect such combined efforts in the future.
