After receiving a complaint filed by ‘Golos’ the Federal Service for Supervision over Telecom, Information Technologies and Mass Communication has brought administrative charges against the newspaper ‘Capital of United Russia’. The establishment confirmed that the issue number of the party periodical was missing (Article 13.22 of the Administrative Code). Now the chief editor of the newspaper will face administrative charges.

The campaigners were handing out the newspaper ‘Capital of United Russia’ during the election campaign. The media outlet contained information on ‘United Russia’ campaign without receiving support from the party election fund, though officially it was portrayed within the party framework. In fact, the publication became available only on the eve of elections. This explains the missing issue number of the periodical.

Previously, a member of the ‘Yabloko’ party Nikolai Kavkazkiy filed a complaint on misuse of the newspaper ‘Capital of United Russia’ for campaigning purposes. The Moscow city election commission acknowledged the violation.
